MARY

Hi there, I am the principal of the dance school and I have been a qualified dance teacher for over 50 years.

I am a fully qualified first aider including pediatric first aid and my safeguarding training is fully up to date.

All of my staff are fully qualified dance teachers with up-to-date enhanced DBS checks.

Sharon

My daughter Sharon has been qualified for over 20 years and is also our main first aider and pediatric first aider.

Sharon deals with all our administration, inquiries and social media. She also coaches pupils at trainee & teacher levels.

Sharon has been at Mary Woods School of Dance since the age of 3 and has performed in many shows and taken a variety of exams including her teachers.

Sharon also has a variety of Child Care qualifications and has all the necessary DBS & Safeguarding training.

Lucy

I am a creative dance artist who specialises in commercial dance. I have experience in multiple genres such as commercial, hip hop, contemporary, ballet, modern and jazz. My choreographic style focuses on performance and projection.

I have a BA (Hons) in Dance and have various experiences in working in dance schools acoss the North West

Daisy

Daisy has been a pupil with us since she was 3 years old. She has participated in many shows and undertaken many exams with us.

Her most recent is her Trainee Teachers and is just a few months away from qualifying as a Teacher with us.

Elaine

Elaine has been a parent at our dance school for over 6 years.

She now manages the front of house, taking payments, dealing with uniform and being the first point of contact for all parents each Saturday.

We are members of the United Kingdom Alliance (UKA) Dance awarding body validated by the Council for Dance Education and Training.

We deliver approved UKA Dance Exams including:

Uni-ted programme (ages 3-6 years)
Medal & Intro system in Tap, Ballet, Cheer dance, Street & Freestyle
Preliminary Grades and Regulated Grades in Tap and Ballet.
Regulated Grades - these exams gain credits that are awarded and stored in your child's education information and can be used when applying for university
